Biography / CVBorn in Rome, the 20 of December 1968 Emanuela Camacci lives and works in Rome.Accepted at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, she mastered her technique in sculpture, holed in the 1990. She took part in several events in the world. Her sculptures are part of public and private collections. Relates to this events she said: “taking part in theses events, offers me an exciting opportunity to create a piece of work designed for a specific space related and integrated to the environment it is destined to. It is also an opportunity to have an exchange with other artists, to meet them and learn from their experience and, therefore, to mature professionally and personally through the discovery of a context culturally different from mine. In this sense, it represents an important opening to me from an artistic, intellectual and human perspective”
Artist StatementMy desire is to challenge. There is no preference formethods and media. I strive to explore the limits of various materials. I realize works, expression of physical experiences, including humour and sensuality. My artworks as expression of imagery that provokes repulsion, humor, or embarrassment. I want to express, to face up the oniric aspect of the life, of the dreams. To express the biological cycle of the life, death and metamorphosis. Works are often made of multiple parts which I develop as studio sketches. A final work is often made on-site and changes its location's meaning in relation also with the acceptance and/or questioning of the viewer.
